“A PLACE IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE PEOPLE WITHIN IT.” - Pittacus Lore

NON-PROFIT MISSION
Support Provincetown, Massachusetts’s diverse community and year-round economy by preserving and expanding affordable live/work/play spaces and resources for queer creatives.
Provincetown is America’s oldest continuous artist colony.
Provincetown is also the most queer (read: perfectly, beautifully weird!) municipality worldwide by property ownership (75+% identify as LGBTQI). You could say Provincetown has a long history of being a beacon for the open-minded and inspired, culture creating dreamers, makers, artists and lovers.
As corporations move in and buy up our mom-and-pop style businesses, and as real estate prices continue to soar due to limited supply, our fragile, funky, bohemian, often wild, and arguably important creative culture is threatened more, year-over-year.
The Stowaway Society is a federally designated 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and it’s aim is to secure generational assets that best serve our current creative community and that continue the legacy of attracting and supporting the next “washashores”.
And we need your help….
The Stowaway Society non-profit is inspired by the outcomes of the individuals below who have taken residency over the last two years at the Stowaway Guesthouse in Provincetown.
